A writer's Random ramblings
As the New Year approaches, many people make resolutions. Are you tired of the lose weight and get better kind? Wait, how many kinds are there? Why not resolve to take a part in making the world a better place? No, not by picking up trash or other such activities, but by learning to make the world more humane by treating others better. Oh, no! That sounds huge for one person. How can it be done?
Let’s begin with reducing or eliminating drama in our everyday lives. Who needs as much of it as we often have? Nobody. Yet it’s there. How do we keep from creating it or sticking it on others? Stop blaming other people for what you have caused or what no human could cause. We don’t control disease, war, famine, and other such disasters, whether personal or worldwide on a one person scale. This concept of not blaming your drama on another goes hand in hand with the distrust caused by accusing the other person of something or assuming he or she did it. How do we eliminate these human reactions of accusation, blame, and assumption? Ask the person we chat with whether he or she took a given course of action. Be ready to accept his or her answer, even if it is not the one you think should appear. Feel free to have an opinion of that answer - after all, we are all human, and as such, we have our opinions - but, do not share it right away. Judge the action itself or the outcome of an action, not the person you want to blame. This avoids hurt feelings and more drama. Keep opinions internal while pondering them. If the other person involved asks what you think, then share. Humane people do not force their views on others. Whether you are permitted to share or not, always be prepared to let the other person take his or her course of action. Chances are, it will differ from what you think should be. If so, that difference probably fits the person’s course of life better at the given time. When differences of opinion happen, keep discussions civil. Stay on the topic as long as possible with cool heads, and change subjects only in logical, civil manners as well. If anger comes to visit, be prepared to end the conversation. Hang up the phone or walk away after letting the other person know that the discussion can not continue as it is going.Try writing about what angers you, then edit it to sound as humane as possible. E-mail it to the person once the tone becomes calm enough to be understood. Keep the message in the Drafts folder while it remains under revision. At all times, but especially when apologizing, leave force and flattery out. Nobody enjoys being told what to do. Suggestions come across better when phrased as questions. Be yourself, and don’t copy the other person’s ways. Often, sincerity wins more friends than imitation and becoming what you think the others want. Eventually, morphing into someone else will leave you feeling unfulfilled and empty as a person. So, who’s up for creating a new, humane world win the New Year? Let’s all give it a try. It can only promote harmony and peace when we make the small achievements one at a time. Everyone deserves a peaceful world who lives here, so let’s go for it!

All angels in heaven sang with joy
Upon the first Christmas morn For in a manger slept a special boy, The world’s true Savoir, newly born. God loves all creation, So to save earth from the dark, eternal night He sent into every nation The grace of his unending light. Jesus was the baby conceived by the Spirit Holy ‘Twas announced by Gabriel, angel of God Almighty Born after Joseph and Mary’s long journey From Nazareth in Galilee To Bethlehem, David’s royal city. Jesus, our Savior Most Holy, Was born of the virgin Mary In a stable lowly, Wearing swaddling clothes to sleep On a cold winter‟s night With only hay and animals for heat, Because no room at the inn was in sight. As all the heavenly host Came to earth announcing the Savior‟s birth Of a virgin by the power of the Holy Ghost. Three wise men came from afar Special gifts bearing Following a brightly shining star Which stopped over the bed of the King. So today we gather and celebrate The birth of Jesus our Lord and King As we give one another gifts to commemorate It as we with the angels sing To God all power, honor, and glory And to creation on earth, peace. Do you need a way to earn cash and gift cards? Whether it’s in time for the holidays or not, InstaGC is a great way to go. It can help supplement an income at home, add to a pile of gifts for a special occasion, and do many other things. In a little over a month, I have earned enough Amazon credits to pay for several key Christmas gifts for family and plan to keep going. How does it work, you ask?
First, head over to https://www.instagc.com/1390585 and sign up. Be sure to fill out all account information it asks for truthfully for best results. You can even set up extra e-mail accounts for the offers you choose to take advantage of while using the service. Only at sign up do you need to put in your primary e-mail information to avoid being deemed a fraud and kicked off of the system. In the beginning, users find it easiest to use the Clicks option under the earn tab at the top of the screen. This results in fewer points per action, but offers more items. Since InstaGC caps the number of participants who can do some of these, it is worth clicking around into their partner sites and taking any small tasks or offers you find appealing at first. Also, don’t forget to look under the question mark icon at the top of InstaGC’s page to find out all of the information a new user needs. Also, users can receive 1 point for every 10 videos watched under Videos in the Earn tab, to a daily maximum of 1,000 videos (100 points, or $1 worth of cash or gift card.) On InstaGC itself as well as some of its partner sites, those who fill out profile forms and have done smaller tasks begin qualifying for surveys. It requires patience and a taste for trial and error here. Not every user can finish every survey. For the first 5 of these a user gets on InstaGC’s survey wall each day, one point is added per disqualification to the user’s account. Any time the user finishes a survey successfully, however, he or she earns the full number of points. Some surveys, which are clearly marked in the lists and those worth over 240 points take longer to credit to the user. These higher-paying questionnaires either require extra verification from the partner site or for the InstaGC user to wait until a study is complete, sometimes a few weeks after s/he takes the survey. This makes for a beautiful surprise when the points finally arrive, though. After all of that earning, users have many cash out options. For actual cash, they can choose an eCheck or PayPal of the full point balance, one point being the equivalent of $0.01 US. In gift cards, many pay out in whole dollars, leaving any cents in the InstaGC account. Some popular gift code otions here include, but are not limited to, Amazon.com, 1-800-flowers, Google Play, AmEx, and American Girl. All can be found under the Redeem tab on the InstaGC homepage. In these ways, people with a taste for clicking around the Internet and/or helping companies perform research studies can earn extra money. Then, those folks can shop either online or in stores for what they need. This helps greatly at the holiday season, even when one has only been doing the site’s tasks for about a month. She explores them through the lens of young adults. First, we wonder whether fame is worth chasing and at what level should a person accept it? Love in its true and false forms provides the second major theme. How can these play off one another and possibly enhance each other? The third and most massive wonder of the book comes in as the main character learns the meaning of trust and how to create and display it toward another person.
Fame first emerges on the local level in the main character, Dani, and her family. She appears to live in the shadow of her father, a war veteran depicted on the possible edge of death. Dani’s cousin and he husband also own the local resort, and the cousin’s husband, Bryan, is a major ski champion in their part of Colorado. For these reasons, many assume that Dani has the same levels of fame and fortune as the rest of her family. She often finds herself wishing she could make that go away and be a regular citizen. She feels the family fame and fortune will eventually stop her from becoming her own person as others find out about it. This family fame falls into Dani’s ability to discern real love from what others display toward her when they want a piece of what she has. Should she really love anyone? Only time can tell her that, as her boyfriend tries to create their own life based on what he can provide. However, she seemingly wanders off with a stranger thinking she has a better love when he doesn’t know what she came from. However, all of the men turn out to be involved in a plot to teach her what love really is. Only a careful reading of the novel will reveal whom she ends up with and whether she deserves any of it. Hand in hand with the love theme, Dani learns the meaning of trust throughout the book. She goes from only trusting relatives to the people she comes to love. In between, she shows trust in the wrong places. She opens herself and life story to a stranger in a bar. Then, through a kidnapping, she tries to stay with him, ultimately learning to trust the boyfriend she began with at the outset of the novel. In coming full circle, trusting those one loves becomes the main theme as well as a key part of the title. For these reasons, one can learn some basic psychology through a close reading of Trust Falls. Centering on the themes as apparent in young folks amplifies how humanity can become loving and trustful of one another. Putting fame away and becoming humble helps in these chases, something all people need to learn. |
